A Guide to Every Freshman Year Youll Experience
First year sucks. Indeed, not so much - however whether youââ¬â¢re a first year recruit in secondary school, school, or life, the change isnââ¬â¢t simple. Itââ¬â¢s loaded up with new encounters and new principles that youll likely have never known about, so itââ¬â¢s difficult to become acclimated to. While individuals may caution you about the things youââ¬â¢re liable to confront, you likely wonââ¬â¢t discover what you can do to plan for your new way of life that youââ¬â¢ll without a doubt have. Here are only the three most ideal ways that you can get ready for your secondary school, school, and post-school first years: Secondary School: 1. Learning the keys to public activity in secondary school is certainly one of the most clumsy and disappointing occasions. The best thing you can do right off the bat is find at any rate one companion in each class. Itââ¬â¢ll make the change significantly simpler - not exclusively will you have a companion to bond with, youââ¬â¢ll additionally have somebody to concentrate with, beginning early. 2. Perhaps the hardest thing about secondary school is dealing with your time appropriately. Fortunately, there are a lot of applications and projects to use on both your cell phone and PC. Notes coordinators, updates, plans for the day, and schedules are only a bunch of utilities that you can exploit to assist. Jumping on time the board from the get-go in secondary school can set great propensities for later on. 3. Donââ¬â¢t be hesitant to converse with your instructors. Theyââ¬â¢re there to enable you to learn, so on the off chance that you do have inquiries regarding anything, theyââ¬â¢ll be there to help you. A lot of understudies arenââ¬â¢t ready to request help, so itââ¬â¢s simple to fall into the pack and not connect or bring up issues in class. In any case, itââ¬â¢s better to stretch out beyond something you probably won't comprehend or material youââ¬â¢re experiencing difficulty with, particularly before a task or test. College:1. Give things a shot. Most colleges have a plenty of clubs accessible to you over every extraordinary kind of exercises. Regardless of whether youââ¬â¢re keen on playing sports, sitting in front of the TV, understanding books, or anything scholarly, chances are, your school will have a club for it. Itââ¬â¢s an extraordinary method to meet individuals and find new interests, and itââ¬â¢s likewise the ideal method to support your resume by seeking after close to home interests. 2. Search and locate the ideal spot for you to contemplate. It may appear to be a stupid thing to begin with, however there are a lot of understudies who experience the year, ricocheting from study corridor to library while never getting settled. Something as straightforward as concentrating in a similar spot can really assist you with improving your learning, so itââ¬â¢s worth taking the initial not many long stretches of classes to locate the best spot for you. 3. Become more acquainted with your grounds assets, regardless of whether itââ¬â¢s meeting with your scholarly counselor or finding the best places to get something to eat. The seemingly insignificant details have a colossal effect in school, particularly considering youââ¬â¢re completely responsible for your own life for whatââ¬â¢s most likely the first run through. Adjusting your time among scholastics and public activity when you have so much opportunity isnââ¬â¢t a simple activity, however utilizing all the assets that your school brings to the table can surely help. Post-College:1. System. One of the most significant parts of your post-school life is constructing and growing your system. Not exclusively would it be able to prompt openings for work, itââ¬â¢s a decent method to have contacts in different zones for any number of reasons. Past that, having a far reaching system is a decent method to connect for help - if youââ¬â¢re having an issue with a venture that youââ¬â¢re taking a shot at, contact somebody who has accomplished something comparative for a clarification or another viewpoint. 2. Jump on LinkedIn at the present time. No truly - nowadays, not having a LinkedIn profile is going to hurt you significantly more than you might suspect. Managers and associations consistently hope to discover a profile for each practical up-and-comer, so making one is critical. Itââ¬â¢s the ideal method to feature your experience, administration, and any extra significant distinctions or declarations youââ¬â¢ve earned. In addition, itââ¬â¢s the most ideal approach to rapidly and effectively develop your system, and itââ¬â¢s a considerably simpler approach to interface with individuals youââ¬â¢re hoping to contact. 3. Your resume is an absolutely real thing, however the vast majority overlook that. In the event that you have experience thatââ¬â¢s a solid match for one opening for work yet not for another, donââ¬â¢t be hesitant to trade it out for something different. Change terms, alter visual cues, or expel a whole past activity on the off chance that you think itââ¬â¢ll help. Itââ¬â¢s not perpetual, so update it on a predictable premise.

Estimation of Tramadol Hydrochloride and Diclofenac Sodium
Estimation of Tramadol Hydrochloride and Diclofenac Sodium Subsidiary Spectrophotometric Method for Estimation of Tramadol Hydrochloride and Diclofenac Sodium in Pharmaceutical Dosage Form Pekamwar S. S., Kalyankar T. M, Lokhande M. V. Unique Reason: Tramadol is narcotic pain relieving and diclofenac is NSAID and are utilized in serious to direct torment the board. Mix of Tramadol and Diclofenac drugs were endorsed by FDA to advertise in India with a portion of 50 mg for TRA and 75 mg DIC individually. Strategy: The utilized technique depends on first request subordinate spectrophotometry. Frequencies 278.7 nm and 281.7 nm were chosen for the estimation of the Tramadol and Diclofenac separately by taking the principal request subordinate spectra. The convergences of the two medications were dictated by proposed strategy. The consequences of investigation have been approved measurably and by recuperation concentrates according to ICH rules. Result: Both the medications obey Beerââ¬â¢s law in the focus scope of 5-30 à ¼g mL-1 and 5-45 à ¼g mL-1 with relapse 0.9997 and 0.9990, block 0.0008 and 0.0062 and slant 0.004 and 0.0316 for TRA and DIC separately. The precision and reproducibility results are near 100% with 2% RS D. Decision: A basic, exact, exact, delicate and conservative methods for synchronous estimation of Tramadol and Diclofenac in tablet measurement structure have been created Catchphrases: Tramadol, Diclofenac, First request subordinate spectrophotometry, ICH rules, Validation, FDA Presentation Tramadol Hydrochloride (TRA) is an engineered 4-phenylpiperidine simple of codeine. Synthetically it is cis - 2-[(dimethylamino) methyl]-1-(3 methoxyphenyl) cyclohexanol hydrochloride (Figure-1), is a midway acting narcotic pain relieving, showed in the treatment of moderate to serious agony. TRA is utilized to treat postoperative (dental, malignancy and so on.) torment, treatment of rheumatoid joint inflammation, fretful legs condition, engine neuron infection and fibromyalgia and as an adjuvant to NSAID treatment 1-8. Synthetically Diclofenac Sodium (DIC) is 2-{2-[(2, 6-dichlorophenyl) amino] phenyl} acidic corrosive (Figure - 2), is a nonsteroidal calming (NSAID) tranquilize. DIC gives calming, antipyretic, and pain relieving activity thought the restraint of prostaglandin union by hindrance of cyclooxygenase (COX). DIC is utilized in intense to interminable treatment of signs and side effects of osteoarthritis and rheumatoid joint pain 9-19. Tramadol (50 mg) and Diclofenac (75 mg) mix, coming about focal and fringe absense of pain a ââ¬Å"balanced analgesiaâ⬠utilized in more extensive range of torment the board. In the writing study it was discovered that different investigative strategies including spectrophotometry 1-4, HPLC (High-execution fluid chromatography) 5-7, strength demonstrating RP-HPLC (Reverse stage superior fluid chromatography) 8, and GC/MS (Gas chromatography-mass spectrophotometry) 7 have been accounted for TRA in single structure and in mix with different medications. A few expository strategies have been accounted for DIC in single structure and in blend with different medications including spectrophotometry 9-12, HPLC 13-16, RP-HPLC 17,18, and LC-MS (Liquid chromatography-mass spectrophotometry) 19. Broad writing study uncovers that subordinate spectrophotometric technique is yet not detailed for concurrent assurance of TRA and DIC in tablet dose structure. In the current work an endeavor is being made to create basic, exact, precise and reproducible first-request subordinate UV-spectrophotometric technique for concurrent estimation of TRA and DIC in joined dose structure. Materials and Methods Device and Instruments The instrument utilized in the current examination was UV-spectrophotometer UV-1800 (Shimadzu, Japan) with phantom transmission capacity of 2 nm and 10 mm a coordinated quartz cell was utilized. All weighing was done on Digital parity (Anamed). Synthetic concoctions and Reagents Diagnostically unadulterated medication test of TRA and DIC was benevolently given by Supriya Lifescience Ltd. (Mumbai, India) and J.B. Synthetic concoctions Pharmaceuticals Ltd. (Gujarat, India) separately. The pharmaceutical dose structure utilized in this examination was inaccessible in showcase yet has been endorsed by the FDA to advertise in India. So this bilayer (Core) tablets produced in School of Pharmacy, S.R.T.M. College, Nanded, marked to contain 50 mg of TRA and 75 mg of DIC. All synthetics (AR grade) were bought from RANKEM, Delhi, India. Arrangement of standard stock arrangements Precisely gauged 10 mg of TRA and DIC moved to two separate 100 mL volumetric flagons. Included adequate methanol and sonicated for 5 min. what's more, volume was made upto 100 mL with methanol. 1 mL of the stock arrangement was additionally weakened to 10 mL with methanol to get a working standard arrangement of fixation 10 à ¼g mL-1 of both TRA and DIC and examined in the frequency scope of 200-400 nm. First-Order Derivative Spectroscopic Method 20, 21 Working standard arrangement of focus 10 à ¼g mL-1 of both TRA and DIC were examined in range mode between 400-200 nm utilizing methanol as a clear. At that point zero request ranges of both the medications were changed numerically into their individual first request subordinate range and first subsidiary overlain of both the medications were acquired in 400-200 nm which is appeared in figure 3, figure 4 and figure 5. It was seen that frequencies chose for measurement of both the medications were 281.7 nm for TRA and 271.7 nm for DIC so that at zero intersection of one medication another medication shows significant absorbance (Zero intersection technique). In this way these two frequencies were utilized for the estimation of TRA and DIC with no obstruction. The adjustment bends were plotted at these two frequencies. Planning of Sample Stock Solution Substance of twenty tablets were weighed precisely and powdered. Powder proportional to 50 mg of TRA and 75 mg of DIC was gauged and broken down in 50 mL of methanol with the guide of ultrasonication for 5 min. The arrangement was separated through Whatman channel paper no. 41 to a 100 mL volumetric cup. Channel paper was washed with methanol, adding washings to the volumetric jar and volume was made sufficient with methanol to get test stock arrangement which was additionally weakened with methanol to get last centralization of arrangement (TRA 10 à ¼g mL-1 and DIC 15 à ¼g mL-1 ) in the linearity go. Results and Discussions Linearity and range A standard stock arrangement was set up for both TRA and DIC; they were sequentially weakened to yield six for TRA and nine for DIC standard arrangements. For UV spectrophotometric strategy, linearity was acquired in focus scope of 5-30 à ¼g mL-1 and 5-45 à ¼g mL-1; with relapse 0.9997 and 0.9990, catch 0.0008 and 0.0062 and slant 0.004 and 0.0316 for TRA and DIC separately. The outcomes are delineated in table1. Exactness and accuracy To find out the exactness of the proposed techniques, recuperation contemplates were completed by standard expansion strategy at three unique levels (80%, 100% and 120%) according to ICH rules. Known measure of unadulterated TRA and DIC were included preanalyzed powder of tablet detailing and investigation was completed by proposed strategy for recuperation at each level and % recuperation, SD, % RSD was determined. Aftereffects of recuperation examines are appeared in Table 2. The precision and reproducibility is obvious from the information as results are near 100 % and the estimation of standard deviation and % R.S.D. were seen as Particularity The proposed strategy was seen as explicit as there is no obstruction from different excipients. Aftereffects of examination of tablet detailing Examination of figured tablet was done and the sums recouped were communicated as rate measure of tablet guarantee. The rate recuperation for TRA is 100.52â ±1.486 and DIC is 99.57â ±0.555 separately. The proposed techniques was assessed by the measure (n = 6) of figured tablets containing TRA and DIC. The consequences of measure are introduced in Table 3. LOD and LOQ LOD was seen as 0.0686 à µg mL-1and 0.155 à µg mL-1 for TRA and DIC separately. LOQ was seen as 0.2081 à µg mL-1 and 0.4719 à µg mL-1 for TRA and DIC individually. The consequences of LOD and LOQ are appeared in table 4. End The principal request subordinate spectrophotometric strategy has been created for synchronous assurance of TRA and DIC in joined dose structure. The created and approved first request subordinate spectrophotometric technique is basic, financial, exact and reproducible. The technique was approved according to ICH rules regarding linearity, explicitness, exactness, accuracy, cutoff points of identification (LOD) and cutoff points of measurement (LOQ). The proposed approved technique can be used for routine investigation and quality control test of TRA and DIC in joined dose structure. Affirmations The creators are extremely appreciative to Supriya Lifescience Ltd., Mumbai and J.B. Synthetic compounds Pharmaceuticals Ltd., Gujarat, India for giving Tramadol Hydrochloride and Diclofenac sodium individually as blessing tests of unadulterated medications. Creators are likewise extremely appreciative to School of Pharmacy, Swami Ramanand Teerth Marathwada University, Nanded, Maharashtra, India for giving all the essential offices to finish inquire about work effectively. Irreconcilable situation The creators report no irreconcilable situations.

Introduction The united nation is an international organization that was formed in the year 1945 that was immediately after the World War II, as a replacement to the League of Nations, which had experienced a great reduction of its influence in Europe. The United Nations was formed as an organization that would provide a stage for dialogue between the warring countries that was being experienced in the world at that moment. The United Nations has a variety of subsidiary organizations that have helped the organization to be more important that the League of Nations that only served the European countries. Donââ¬â¢t waste time! Our writers will create an original "Objectives Of The United Nations International" essay for you Create order 1. What are the primary goals and objectives of the United Nations and to what extent has the United Nations has been able to achieve its objectives? The United Nations was formed in order to fulfill certain goals and objectives; one of the goals of the United Nations was to ensure that there is a law and order in the world, this is by providing all its member countries with international law, this implies that the conflicting member countrys will be in a position of to be heard in the international law courts that is a subsidiary of the united nations that helps in restoring justice in the entire world (UN News Center paragraph 2). The other goal of the United Nations is to provide human rights and human assistance this is by providing relief food and help to the people that are in war-torn regions, this may include the Internally Displaced People (IDPs), refugees in camps and civilians in warring countries, they presence of the united nations is felt when the organization give the refugees in countries like Sudan, Ivory coast, Palestine and other countries which are facing ethnic wars with food and water with the aim of rel ieving the suffering people from hostile treatment, and in the process the organization will have highlighted on the problems that are being faced by the people and will have addressed them this is by providing the people with the basic needs. The organization other goal is to provide international security, this is when the organization mobilizes its members to supply it with soldiers that will be deployed to regions where the civilians are subjected to constant attacks by the rebels who are against the government of the country, the organization also provides international security this is when the organization monitors the activities of illegal criminal groups and terrorist groups, and in the process the united nations deals with these groups by devising on ways that aim at stopping there actions. United Nations has the goal of facilitating international social and economic development; this is when the organization is involved in the initiation of projects and at the same time funds them, with the aim of empowering the people of a community economically and socially, an example of the ways in which the United Nations encourage economic and social development is when the united nations funds projects in Africa and Asian countries introduced the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), such as the funds for digging of bore holes, building of schools and dispensaries, construction of roads and also funding women groups, this will automatically result to the people in these regions to be economically empowered thus reducing the chances of poverty amongst the people (UN News Center paragraph 2). The United Nations also has the goal of ensuring world peace; this is when the organization provides all its members with the platform that enables them to negotiate, this will ensure that there is understanding amongst the countries this is because the countries will be in good terms with each others as they have heard each others views on the conflicting matter. Ways the United Nations have succeeded in its activities The organization has been able to achieve in most of its objectives and goals in the recent years, this is clearly seen by the influence it enjoys in the world today, the most one being the introduction of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), which has been circulated to all the third world countries with an aim of ensuring all the people in the third world countries have equal assess to opportunity to clean water, telecommunication systems, lighting, education and other basic needs that are seen to be relevant to an individual, this will in the end make the whole world a safe and better place to live in. On maters of security the international body hasnt been able to achieve its goals as it expected; this is because it faces obstacles from some leaders who violate the rights of humanity this is by involving in activities that results to the mass killings of humans, as experienced in Ivory Coast where its leaders with political differences denied the united nations to conduct its operations in the country and thus it has failed to fulfill its mandates as the political good will in the country doesnt support its activities in the country, (Frewen, paragraph 6) it has also been unable to counter terrorism and other international crimes, this is because the terrorists and criminals use sophisticated weapons and styles in conducting there activities . 2. What problems, weakness and challenges confront the United Nations? How does the UN carry out its obligations despite it problems, weaknesses and challenges? Like any other organization out there the United Nations has problems, weaknesses and challenges that it gets in its ways and thus affects the way it conducts its activities to the extent of loosing its credibility to its members. One problem that the united nations faces is the inability for the organization to easily reach and provide relief to the affected people that desperately need the relief inform of food and water, this usually occurs because the organization doesnt have the funds or machineries of reaching the people who need the relief help, this maybe because of lack of roads to the interior parts or even denied the assess or operate rites in the country, (UN News Center paragraph 2) this makes the organization fail to deliver its services to the people at the right time especially after the tsunami attack in Indonesia in 2004. The other problem the United Nations encounters is the lack of its own military personnel and equipments; this is a problem that has made the organization fail to fulfill its mission of restoring peace and order in the world, the organization lacks its own military officials that will help it restore law and order in the world, (The Stanley Foundation paragraph 1) the shortage of the military officials have made it difficult for the organization to deploy soldiers in places with hostile rebels an example is the deploying of united nations soldiers in countries like Afghanistan and Sudan which are mostly in war. The organizations inability to make own independent decisions is another challenge that the organization, this is because the countries in the top United Nations Security Council will influence the final decision of the organization this is because the members in the security council will opt to decide on a decision that will be of interest to them, (Holmes, paragraph 2-3) without considering the results of the decision, as in the case of the united states invasion into Iraq, the united nations was in a posi tion to stop the war but it never did anything to stop America from invading Iraq as it considers the united states a major contributor to its activities. Ways United Nations overcomes its challenges The organization has managed to overcome its challenges by conducting many annual general meetings with the attempt of asking for its members to support its activities this has helped the organization receive support from its members as they have been asked to help the organization achieve its mission (Frewen, paragraph 2-3). The organization has also received funds from almost all of its 192 members; the members have also provided the organization with military man-power that have helped the organization to disarm up to 400,000 ex-combats, the military officials come from 118 members and this has resulted to the organization achieving its objectives. 3. Discuss the functions organization and composition of the Security Council of the UN? The Security Council of the United Nations has various functions; the first function of the Security Council is to ensure that there is peace and security amongst the member countries this is experienced if the organizations are given the mandate of making a solid decision known as the United nations security council resolutions, these resolutions will ensure that there is peace amongst the member states as they will be the ones that will be governing the way the united nations will be running its security matters, (Vaughan et al, pgs 50-69) the security council will be in a position to make the final decision that will be the stand of the united nations that is after they convene and decide on the action and stand of the organization on matters pertaining to security. The Security Council is made up 15 members, with 5 occupying the permanent membership and the other 10 been non-permanent, the permanent including United States of America, Britain, China, France and Russia, and t he 10 current non-permanent members includes Australia, Gabon, Bosnia, Japan, brazil, Mexico, Nigeria, Turkey, Uganda and Lebanon, a position that these countries hold for a period of two years, to pave way for other countries to be in the security council, in which the member states are voted into the council depending on the regions of the members. (Vaughan et al, pgs 50-69) The permanent members hold veto powers over the other subsidiary members, this makes them the permanent members to be in the position of blocking the implementation of the resolution that has been earlier been discussed by the other members. 4. What are some of the concerns of New States (developing countries) regarding the membership of Security Council and how are the concerns addressed? There are several concerns that have been raised by the developing countries regarding the membership of the United Nations Security Council with some of the concerns included the increase of the numbers of permanent members of the security council, and checking of the veto powers of the permanent members. In matters related to the increase of the permanent members countries from the G4 were likely to join the security council occupying to increase the numbers of permanent members from being 5 to 9 members and the most likely countries to join the security council on permanent basis includes Germany, Brazil, India and Japan. In maters concerning the veto powers the developing countries are urging the united nations permanent members should not make there own decisions without consulting with the other non-permanent members of the security council this is experienced when the permanent members use there powers to rule on certain issues without consulting the other members (Kouml; chler paragraph 14). The developing countries concerns have brought ideas that were aimed at increasing and restructuring of the Security Council this is by increasing the numbers of the members of the Security Council to be 24 members and an increase in the numbers of permanent and non permanent members with increased and renewable terms for the nonpermanent members. 5. Will/Is mankind better or worse off with the UN or without? In my own view I believe that the United Nations is playing a very important role in making a better world and without it as an international organization the world wouldnt be as its is today, the United Nations has been able to intervene in hostile situations that saw the innocent suffering civilians being treated or living in poor dangerous conditions as a result of conflict and wars, natural disasters and poverty. The United Nations main objective is to provide peace in the entire world this is what makes the United Nations a very strong organization that will ensure peace is in the world, this is when it identifies the regions that is affected with the citizens exposed to threats of being exposed to inhuman treatment, (Frewen, paragraph 5)in the process the united nations will chip in and provide the people exposed in inhuman activities with the required help that will relieve them of the problems they were facing, and this is one of the reasons that United Nations has becom e one important organization that provides humanitarian relief to the world. 6. What is the role of national culture, national values and ideals, national power and globalization in undermining the goals and purposes of the UN? The different cultural believes and practices ideas, values and globalizations are undermining the goals and purposes of the United Nations, globalization has been as resulted of technology, this is when the improved technology that has made it easy for terrorists to conduct there activities, thus disrupting peace in the world this is because the terrorists are able to communicate with each other at distant places, they can talk with each other and then arrange on the way forward that they scan perform there activities thus destructing the peace in the world. National culture is another issue that makes the United Nations unable to achieve its goals this is when the cultures of the country states that it isnt a good to receive relief food from other people or an organization, this to some extent has resulted to some member countries objecting the activities in there countries this renders the organization useless as it cant perform its duties. The use of Veto powers by the Se curity Council permanent members has made it difficult for the United Nations to perform its key role this is when the countries will use there powers to invade or conduct activities that are against the wishes of the union an example is when America invaded Iraq and Afghanistan when the claim that the countries were sponsoring terrorism therefore causing more terror in the world (Gold, pg 20-58). 7. the use of an international issue or conflict, assess the failure or success of the performance of the UN. Trying to clearly cut whether the United Nation has been successful or a failure is a hard nut to crack lest cases such as how conflicts were handled are brought to light. Even after such issues are brought to light, it is apparent that UN was successful and at the same time failed. This is because there are those in one side that strongly believe that the organization has enjoyed successful performance with minimal failures while on the other hand, some are of the opinion that the whole thing should be done away with and man will be better off without UN (Jaà ¯r 10). It is worth noting from the on-set that United Nation does not work in isolation with other stakeholders, thus its success or failure is dictated by how the corporation between it and other relevant stakeholders ensued. To determine or asses whether UN has succeeded in its quest of maintaining international peaces, it is rational to find out if indeed the mission has been realized. There are instances where UN did manage to bring lasting peaces in a number of countries. In the wake of 2007/2008 post election violence in Kenya, former UN boss Kofi Annan was sent to broker peace between President Mwai Kibaki and ODM presidential candidate Raila Odinga. A national accord was signed which called for power sharing that helped quell the problem that left close to 1,500 people dead and thousands displaced. In Sudan for instance, UN has been successful as it has fought for humanitarian rights. The organization has lobbied for resources from other stakeholders aimed at providing shelter, food and other reliefs to the large number of displaced individuals. Similarly, it has been ion the forefront in repatriating and resettling refugees as well as displaced individuals. On the other hand, it has failed in its mandate of bring peace. For instance, in 1994, Rwanda experienced genocide that left close to 900,000 people killed. The organization failed to respond in time. This was arrived after compar ing UN and US Military Ops Distance Runner and Support Hope. The former used $600 million for a period of six month and 0.5 million people lost their lives while the former used $147.8million for the same period and rescued 150 Americans plus other although 500,000 lost their lives. The mission in Sierra Leone also failed (Jaà ¯r 32). 8. In what ways can the nature of collective security (regional alliances etc) constitute a threat to global peace and security? It has been argued that unity is strength; with this notion countries have joined their resources in the quest of forming blocs that aim at fostering economic, environmental and more importantly political stability. Although collective security or regional alliance also known as regionalism was formed with positive intentions, it has been proved that the synergy that result from such collectiveness may pose a threat to global peace. The system or the arrangement makes countries or states to be concerned about security of others whereby they join a collective response to a threat to existence of peace (Goldstein Et al. 290). Historically, one of the reasons that led to world war one back in 1914 was collective security coupled with militarism. Currently, when nations engage into such initiatives, it my trigger others who do not share same objectives to also follow suit. This in the long run can create tension between such groups leading to them fighting for superiority that might sp ill into war. Similarly, it is no doubt that although all countries or states can collectively condemn a breach of or threats to peaces from another state, there are likelihoods that such a country has friends who will definitely support her (Goldstein Et al. 300). The result is formation of alliances to counter one another which is a threat to global security and peace. The bad blood between and among such countries are in fact detrimental to the global economy, environment, social and political aspects.

Strengths And Weaknesses Of Postmodernism - 713 Words
A worldwide movement encompassing all disciplines, postmodernism arose in response to the dominant idea of modernism, which is described as the social condition of living in an urban, fast-changing progressivist world governed by instrumental reason. Postmodernism or postculturalism, a term often also used, offer a very different and much more radical version of constructivism. They are strongly opposed to the universalist premises of realism, liberalism, Marxism and post-Marxism, and are highly critical of the general phenomenon of the aforementioned modernity (Lawson, p. 145). For clarity, we can look at postmodernism as a theory of society, culture and history and postculturalism as a theory of knowledge and language (Agger, 1991, p.â⬠¦show more contentâ⬠¦Ã¢â¬Å"People go to war because of how they see, perceive, picture, imagine and speak of others: that is, how they construct the difference of others as well as the sameness of themselves through representations,â⬠they argue. Millions of people globally supported the ââ¬Ëwar on terrorââ¬â¢ at one time, largely because the discourse around it was successful in divisively framing the identities involved and attributing a ââ¬Ëtruthfulââ¬â¢ nature to that framing. Governments, with the Bush administration seemingly as the lead, created ââ¬Ëthe otherââ¬â¢ to be ââ¬Ëthe terroristââ¬â¢, and those ââ¬Ëterroristsââ¬â¢ were probably Muslim or Arab. The fear was then created by the comparison of this ââ¬Ëotherââ¬â¢ to the self; or ââ¬Ëthem vs. usââ¬â¢. Poststructuralist Michel Foucault argued that each society possesses a ââ¬Ëregime of truthââ¬â¢, or a set of discourses, that are imposed upon and generally accepted by society at large. This notion again can be related back to the war on terror, and more recently can be observed in instances such as North Koreaââ¬â¢s rhetoric around its ââ¬ËDear Leaderââ¬â¢ or communist Chinaââ¬â¢s approach to and treatment of social media, in that is can be dangerous in influencing peopleââ¬â¢s opinions and behaviours. A weakness of postmodernism, its central one according to critics, lies in its refusal to point out an alternative path for social life. Postmodernists assert that all aspects of social life are subject to the same dynamics so as such, there isShow MoreRelatedPostmodernism And Modernism Of The 19th Century1581 Words à |à 7 PagesThroughout history the actual difference between postmodernism and modernism has been a huge debate. 19th and 20th Century of Europe - 932 Words
Europe in the 19th and 20th centuries Introduction During the 19th and 20th century, Europe witnessed its so-called demographic transition, with a fall in birth rates and an even greater fall in mortality rates, which led to a rapid increase in the population. The demographic transition was essentially a result of a decrease in chronic infectious diseases like tuberculosis, syphilis, diphtheria, measles, dysentery, and typhoid fever. The wage dispersion evidence suggests that the middle of the 19th century is an appropriate date for the start of modern convergence in the Atlantic economy. One might view this convergence as one of transition toward globally-integrated Atlantic factor markets. The convergence in wages from about 1854â⬠¦show more contentâ⬠¦And while restrictions on farm imports are still prominent in Europe today, OECD farm sectors are far too small to matter economy-wide to the extent that they did a century ago. Furthermore, the migrations from poor to rich countries today are pretty trivial affairs compared with the mass migrations up to World War I. Today, only the U.S. has across-the-border migration rates anything like those recorded all over the converging Atlantic economy prior to the quotas. And governments today have far more sophisticated ways to compensate losers than they had a century ago. Conclusion In conclusion we can say that during the 19th and 20th century the well-to-do European economies of that time included the Netherlands, Belgium, France and Germany, as well as Britain. In contrast, the nine members of the European periphery at this time were Austria, Denmark, Finland, Ireland, Italy, Norway, Portugal, Spain and Sweden. (Austria and Denmark can be viewed as straddling the margin between core and periphery.) The industrial core countries had levels of GDP per head 67 percent higher than the poor European periphery (ORourke, 1997), and their real wages were 86 percent higher than the periphery. Synthesis Essay Child Abuse
Question: Write about theSynthesis Essay for Child Abuse. Answer: Issues (Economic or Social or Educational) The child abuse has been escalated socially by poor way of parenting. For example, some parents are overwhelmed by multiple challenges hence go overboard in attempts to discipline their children, whereas some parents merely resented their children. Some parents even confine their girls in storeroom and had to be placed in foster care for many years. In some instances, the parents are separated and one parent is more interested in her/his new partner than the childs welfare. In this case, CPS face a social and economic challenge on where to place the child in care and sometimes the child has to be placed under a family friend. In some case, some parents are alcoholic who come from across all ethnic and income cohorts. The abuser (usually a parent) is mentally ill and addicted to certain socially-related vice as indicated by child protection officers. Such vices have escalated abuse of a child like it was seen in article one where a six-year-old girl had multiple burns alongside blue black mark on the body. This followed the alcoholic fathers irritation due to the girls curiosity making the father to heat a metal spoon and pressing it subsequently to the girl when the father became angry. Other parents have also been socially abused to death as indicated in article two where a mother beat a child. Some parents also ineffectively punish their children because of the previous abuse they suffered during their childhood. Some parents also abuse their child because of a lot of stress they have hence making them to vent their anger on youngest children. Educational issues have also been related to child abuse. For example, schools have played a key role as better detection agencies of child abuse. Evidence for Existing Measures There are better detection of abuse cases being undertaken by agencies from schools right to hospitals. The improvement in better detection has resulted in investigation of more serious abuse cases by the Ministry of Social and Family Developments (MSE) Child Protective Service (CPS). The CPS received about 2,022 reports alongside inquiries regarding abuse and investigated 551 serious abuse cases. Moderate and lower-risk cases are also been referred to charities that are designated as the child protection specialist centers tasked and equipped with responsibilities of handling such cases (Yang et al., 2013). The CPS has always stepped in to speak to serious abuse since it has the power of removing of child from family where necessary. The CPS has always kept child away till the CPS gets satisfied that parents have altered their violent manners. Moreover, CPS has further enhanced its screening tools as well as processes thereby enabling those in child protection system from medical staff to teachers to social workers hence better spotting abuse. These professionals have also been trained effectively thereby enhancing detection, management as well as reporting of cases of abuse. CPS has further taken a more proactive approach by examining cases managed by professionals beyond the ministry to make sure that the children are kept safe. There is also a hotline given at child protection specialist center Heart@Feiyue for the public to report the cases of abuse for a timely actions. More calls are presently being received per month than the previously MSF referred cases (Widom, Czaja DuMont, 2015). The laws on family violence are currently under review following abuse cases spate by Home Affairs Ministry and Law Ministry. This will improve deterrence of family violence and make sure that abusers are dealt with accordingly. The review will ensure sufficient deterrence in terms meting out consequences. Evidence Against Existing Measures The low confession rate among the abusers often parents has been a challenge to addressing child abuse. For example, some parents do not confess that they abused the child and it has to take thorough and prolonged investigation to know the problems and intervene. They usually give inconsistent story regarding the abuse. It also takes an extended time for the investigation to uncover the struggles faced by parents in managing children. The social stresses have also dealt a blow the measures to speak to child abuse. Social stresses like financial hardships and marital conflict alongside needs of the child and characteristic of parents complicate the whole issue of managing child abuse (Flaherty et al., 2014). Moreover, despite the existence of hotline (Heart@Feiyue) for reporting cases of abuse, there is only few people calling (25 calls per month). This leaves many cases going unreported. Also, immediate reporting rate is still very low which derails the response and subsequent help b eing accorded to victims. Improvements to Existing Measures The review of legal framework Home Affairs Ministry and Law Ministry particularly deterrence sufficiency in on the right direction. The focus on immediate reporting of abuse through the hotline which has ensure about 25 calls per month. These are increasingly enhancing detections of the abuse. References Flaherty, E.
